In June 2007, after a fifteen year professional career, Chef Michael Specker was looking for an opportunity to open an artisan food café and catering company where he could share his vast culinary knowledge with the community in a setting that mirrored his commitment to hand crafted food made with passion and the utmost attention to detail. He found an opportunity in the historic Brixham Grange Hall. After an extensive and complicated remodel that took over a year, the Brixham General Store opened its doors.
